Hey all Thought I'd do a quick thread to help clear up some of the confusion I see on the different Achatina fulica forms - aka colors - that now exist. I'll keep it as simple as possible So lets get started. First, lets start at the beginning: Achatina fulica. (normal) Achatina fulica f. rodatzi normal skin, yellow shell Achatina fulica f. White Jade White skin, normal shell. Only photo I've got to hand really, their on the left. Nice comparison to the rodatzi though. Achatina fulica f. Hameli Notice they can be either normal looking or yellow shelled. Breed 2 hameli and you'll get rodatzi babies. Achatina fulica f. jadatzi all yellow. Uploaded with ImageShack.usTook me forever to find that! I've no photos of my 2. Hope that's some help to someone.

What happens if a jadatzi and a jadatzi do the deed?

Ah I should have included genetic combo info!
Ok:
Jad x jad = all jadatzi young rod x rod = all rodatzi young rod x norm = some rodatzi young jad x rod = some normal, some yellow shelled, some albino, some jadatzi young norm x norm = all norm.

yeh, because they are all fulica just diffrent colours Exactly their a identical species just different genes mean they have different colors - same as someone with blue eyes has the same nutritional needs as someone with brown eyes!
