snails that will not crossbreed its a good idea but with most snails it would be too much hard work, like fulica people would have to get wild caught ones to be sure they were not inbred with any other species or siblings. If it was to happen I would happily be a judge I have a knowledge of most common and some rare land snails so would be perfect LOL.

same, i would like to be a judge!! im sure we could figure something out with fulica, maybe if we cross some of the fulica varients together and then mate that with a normal fulica we should add enough new blood to bring them round, wont be perfect and inbreeding will be in their family tree way back but thats probably the best we can do, without getting them out the wide, could make fulica crosses the "in thing" giving them wierd names like the rodatzi and jadazti have, a fulica and jade mix could be jalcia lol

It wouldn't work as you don't want cross breed snails you want pure bred

true, just an idea anyway. But it will be good for margies etc, we should start a pedigree website, if we do it

pedigree is quite simple, all you need is the names of the parents ect. they dont have to be registered, i am doing this for show mice and they havent got a register database, although, i was thinking of trying to create some (not for snails, it would be too complicated for me ), breeder assistant has some good templates if you look on there for data base set up
