I'm yet to have a dead snail but I've had a fulica that has a fair big chip in the shell lip. Happened about 3 weeks ago and since then she's rarely out. Today she's a bit whiff, like a seashell. The smell not strong and you have to your nose up close to smell it. She not rock hard but has some white gel stuff on her. Dead do you think?

i think she might be, they dont smell unless they are sadly gone, well i say dont smell they do but its of soil and veg, so if thats not the smell i think she might be gone. leave her till tomorrow and if she is dead the smell will be strong, dont take a big whif, the smell is bad. im really sorry if she is dead

If its gone the small will burn your nose its awful its like well rotted fish. They also have a liquid that comes from them, If its dead you want to get it out as soon as possible.
